3 Generations sewing scrub hats for our health care workERs in need

I felt the need to contribute in some way. We heard a facebook group had been sent up by a doctor for people to donate or advertise their goods or skills for health care workers in need.

As we all know, YouTube is a great tutorial for anything you desire to make. I hadn’t sewn for over 20 years, I retrieved my sewing and overlocker machines from their storage units and 20 years later they were still working perfectly.

So far we have donated our time and made over 60 scrub hats which have been distributed to one of our local hospitals and to other health care workers here and even Interstate.

One of the nurses said to me she really liked the idea they were being made locally by 3 generations, myself driving the sewing machine, my daughter Ivana from Evoluer Beauty and SPFX who was given the task to cut out the patterns and drive the overlocker and my mum who is 80. Mum had the task of sewing two buttons on the sides of the scrub hats, so healthcare workers could attach the elastic of their mask around the scrub hat button.

We are all in this together and we all can make a difference.
