Sun, saddles and sparkles - a perfect day at the races
I love the Melbourne Cup. It’s Australia’s most prestigious outdoor fashion event and the ‘must attend’ for anyone in the fashion industry who wants to showcase their finest pieces. And I was lucky enough to attend both the Cup, and Oak’s Day this year.
The Myer Fashions on the Field is my favourite attraction. It never fails to attracts women far and wide who model their favourite designer pieces, along with stunning jewellery. I was honoured to once again collaborate with leading Fashion Designer Lucy Laurita from Leiela, Lauder Taylor Millinery and Bully Zero Ambassador, Cindy Carino being our beautiful model.
Cindy looked stunning in a deep plunging neckline with a cascading ruffle, swirl skirt which Lucy called “Tuscany Picolo” .
Oaks Day was a quieter day. Traditionally known as ‘ladies’ day’, I enjoyed spending the day with my daughter, watching the fashions and the races. The third day of the Myer Fashions on the Field brings together women of all ages, dressed in their most feminine outfits. It’s a day of pure indulgence, set in a glamourous environment, with perfectly manicured gardens and completed with fine dining in beautiful marquees.
